About the Business
At the age of 15, I made the decision to leave school and become a plumber. I then served my apprenticeship with a small building firm in Hammersmith called W. Chapman & Sons. I worked for them for about 6 years but then moved on and spent approximately 2 years with a gas fitting company in Hounslow called Mabeys. I was then given the opportunity to work for a Balham based company called T.J. Harrington Plumbing. After working for T.J. Harrington Plumbing for about 5 years, my wife and I made the big decision to start our own company and I went self-employed in 1978. I voluntarily registered with 'Corgi' shortly after I went self-employed. I have had a steady stream of business since then from customer recommendations and have never advertised!
In September 2004, my youngest son, Steven, decided to go into plumbing and starting working alongside me whilst completing his apprenticeship and training. He qualified in September 2008 and became Corgi registered.
